Meet the Founders

Chef Eric Korn & Ro’ee Levi
Co-Founders, GBB Hospitality

We’re longtime friends who always said, “One day, we’ll start something together.” Over the years, we’ve crossed paths on countless projects, shared too many meals to count, and dreamed up more food concepts than we can remember. GBB is that “one day”—finally brought to life.

Chef Eric Korn has spent over 20 years creating meals that bring people together. His style blends soulful simplicity, precise technique, and a deep belief in the connective power of food. His acclaimed restaurant, Wolfert’s Roost—opened on a $10,000 shoestring with no heat or AC—became a cult favorite in Westchester, earning Best New Restaurant from Westchester Magazine 2015 and a loyal following that packed it nightly until the day it closed (by choice, still thriving).

Beyond the restaurant, Eric built a powerhouse catering business, earning multiple Best of Westchester Best Caterer and Best Wedding Caterer awards. During the pandemic, he spearheaded an effort that served over 70,000 meals to those in need, and after Hurricane Sandy, he personally delivered truckloads of food and children's clothing to devastated communities. After stepping back to focus on family, he’s returned—on his own terms—with a mission to make food that’s deeply human, joyful, and generous. His mantra: Good. Better. Best.

Ro’ee Levi was raised on the Mediterranean and the meals his grandmother passed down through generations—food infused with love, intention, and story. At just 18, he was catering on the set of Do the Right Thing, later managing legendary restaurants like The Laundry and The Living Room in East Hampton, Les Halles in NYC (yes, that Les Halles), Lure in Soho, and Mr. Chow. He’s served thousands, always returning to one truth: when a meal is prepared with love and served with grace, it becomes a moment worth remembering.

Together, we created GBB Hospitality to do what we love most: bring people together around food. Whether it’s a heat-and-eat meal for a busy family, an unforgettable private dinner, or a pop-up that turns a Tuesday into a celebration, our work is rooted in care, craft, and connection.

This isn’t just hospitality—it’s our way of making the world a little warmer, one bite at a time.
